Defect: The EVE program no longer has an option to display the character name in the program's window title in WinXP/Win7. So now if I have 2 or 3 clients minimized, I can't tell at a glance which character is in which program window.
Or rather - it works sometimes, but not other times. (Seen on WIn7 64bit.) |

Invention job success/fail window is now too small to display all of the text - nor does it remember its size from the previous time. |

Corporate Assets window - you can no longer deliver items to individual corp member, only to corp hangars. |

Confirmation that while you can now manufacture the POS fuel blocks - the tower's fuel bay will not accept them.
15:42:44 Notify You cannot place Gallente Fuel Block in this fuel bay
(Tested on a variety of different towers.) |

Luna Far wrote:There definitely seems to be a problem. The original dev thread indicated high sec Concord owned customs office would double the tax on imports/exports. However, I'm seeing taxes like this and, in the case of basic processed materials, the customs fees are actually more per unit than market prices are per unit (pre Crucible). If this is CCP's intent, there will be massive inflation in the price of all PI related items in the market. Did someone get the multiplier wrong when they coded it? Perhaps something between 10x and 100x instead of 2x???
No, the multipliers are correct. The problem is that under the old system, the tariffs were extremely screwed up across the tiers. P1/P2 tariffs were pretty much ignored by everyone and had zero impact on the market, so people got lazy. Even P3 tariffs were rather small compared to the P4 tariffs.
P0 paid 0.10 ISK/u on products worth 1.50-3.50 (about 2.8% to 6.67%) P1 paid 0.76 ISK/u on products worth 200-800 (anywhere from 0.095% to 0.38%) P2 paid 9.00 ISK/u on stuff worth 6k-10k (about 0.09% to 0.15%) P3 paid 600 ISK/u on stuff worth 35k to 70k (0.86% to 1.7%) P4 paid 100000 ISK on stuff worth 500k to 1200k (8.3% to 20%)
Under today's prices and the new CONCORD tariffs:
P0 - 10% to 20% effective rate P1 - 6.7% to 33% P2 - 7.5% to 17% P3 - 6% to 11% P4 - 6% to 12%
That's a much more balanced tariff across the tiers. As the prices of PI rises a bit on the market, those percentages will inch downward.
Basically, the low-priced products in each tier will either have to raise their prices (i.e. P1 products like Biofuels will go from being 110 ISK/u to about 160 ISK/u) or people will just stop making them. For the rest, everyone needs to do their homework and decide whether their existing factory planets still make a profit or whether they need to switch to a different product.
As long as CCP sticks with these tariff rates for long-term (at least 3-6 months), the market will settle out at a new equilibrium (probably within 1-2 weeks). Everyone will make the same margins as before, but people who are willing to deal with the risk of using POCOs (or make friends) will be able to make higher margins. |

Situation:
PI colony with multiple launchpads.
1. Open up first launchpad customs-office interface. 2. Export 500 units of something to the orbiting CO. - You'll see 500 units of product on the left side now. 3. Switch to 2nd launchpad. 4. Export 500 units of the same thing to the orbiting CO. - You'll see two lines, one with 500 units (a ghost) and one with 1000 units (the auto-stacked). 5. Attempt to drag the ghost line with 500 units to your cargo and you get an error.
You can repeat steps 3 & 4 for 3+ LP setups and you'll see multiple rows with 500 units, which cannot be dragged or interacted with. |

The rules for whether your bookmarks get shoved into a sub-menu:
- If you have (5) or more Personal Location folders and/or Personal Location bookmarks for the current system, then it all gets shoved into a sub-folder.
- If you have 4 or less, the bookmarks/folders stay in the top level of the r-click context menu.
Which is a ridiculously low limitation (a better number would have been 10 or 15).
In a typical system, I usually have 4-8 different categories of bookmarks (insta-undock, gate observation, gate off-grid, station obsv, safe-spots, deep safe-spots, temporaries, gate tacticals, station tacticals, pos observation, etc.). Under the "new" system, I now have to play the guessing game of whether my bookmarks will show up at the top level in a particular system, or whether they'll be shoved down inside another menu.
So even with a good bookmark system (ala Agony's or the "simpler" system) and a good set of folders, you're still being punished.
http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Bookmarks#Organizing_and_managing_bookmarks
I will provide one workaround - if you ever have need to use an "insta-undock" bookmar, you should:
- Go into people & places - Right-click your "undocks" folder, "open group window" - Position the bookmark window somewhere useful on the screen - Sort by jumps column - Undock and r-click on your undock bookmark without having to hunt in the r-click menus

Baroness Amelia Earhart wrote:Before i read thru 40 some pages of posts, is anyone else annoyed the login screen dies after a short amount of time?...that is, if you execute eve to start it up and then come back 5 minutes later to enter your password, it says Connection Failed, but keeps trying to load and will not close from the login screen. If my aircraft autopilot operated this way, I would probably have wound up stranded somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. I don't even know if you can listen to the music all the way through anymore, but I don't care.... Don't close the connection on me, Bro !!
(please note: these results have not been independently verified and may exist as a result of recent cable modem and router replacement with a single integrated cable modem/router)
I've seen that issue regularly since the last patch.
Supposedly, going into the (escape) menu, then coming back allows you to login as normal. And it does eventually time out on the "authorization" step, returning control. |
